Celebrate Wellingborough

Wellingborough is set to come alive this September with Celebrate Wellingborough — a brand-new two-day community event celebrating everything the town has to offer.

Across Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, sports clubs, places of worship, businesses, community groups, and local organisations will open their doors, host activities, and showcase the rich diversity and community spirit that makes Wellingborough unique.

Visitors will be able to explore the town using a specially produced event map, highlighting all participating venues and activities. From open days and taster sessions to performances and demonstrations, Celebrate Wellingborough promises something for everyone.

A special highlight on Sunday 14 will be the chance to hop aboard a Heritage Bus, running free rides around town. This offers a fun and nostalgic way to travel between venues while experiencing a piece of local history.

A spokesperson for Wellingborough Town Council said: Celebrate Wellingborough is all about community pride. It’s a chance for people to discover what’s on their doorstep, meet new groups, and celebrate the amazing things happening across our town. With the heritage bus rides on Sunday, there’s an extra reason to get out and explore.”

Full details of participating venues and activities will be published in the official event brochure and map closer which are available to pick up at locations around the town or on the Town Council website and social media.
